Quit college after one semester. Got a job and girlfriend. Moved to Gun Barrel City. Got a wiener dog. Got a house (free!). Happily engaged. Got a big dog. Wienerdog died (sad). Big dog moved outside. Got a cat. Girlfriend lost her job. Girlfriend and I moved back to Austin. Living with mom. Dog and cat remain in Gun Barrel. Will retrieve when we get an apartment. Except the dog. She's way too big.

Stuff happens.

That is all.

So I haven't lost the art.

What do I say? I'm going to college in January. I'll be working toward a degree in 3D animation (if any of the classes I need ever open up). I've been dabbling in flash animation of a traditional sort. My latest project has been the invention of a language that I haven't yet named. And TSL is chugging along at the pace of one page per month as usual.

Basically, I'm keeping busy. I've started sketching a little more often than I have been for the past while. I even did a watercolor painting for my nephew (much, much too big for scanning or the likes of my shitty camera).

To sum up my life at the moment: at its best things have been pretty fun, and at its worst things are super boring. Boring to the point that I remind myself of how much I need a girlfriend. |ykepa gegy ynetas|

Do I still use this thing? On occasion, perhaps. I don't really pay much attention to (my) art anymore, aside from drawing TSL. Everything else is just sketching, and I never seem to get around to finishing up a drawing, coloring or otherwise. Not to mention my tablet threw in the towel (or rather, decided wires didn't need to remain intact, which is something that seems like it should be easy to fix, but is actually not when you have no clue what you're doing).

It seems like more and more I'm switching from the visual to the linguistic. For the most part, I've been writing. My friend and I actually have plans to publish a book of collected works together, odd bits of poetry and short stories. It's probably just fancy, but it gives me good practice.

If I get around to finishing anything, I'll put it up, but until then, expect less than nothing.

As for me myself. Well, everything is different and not much has changed. And that's that.
